Kelly J. Ogle, MSS, ICD.D

Commissioner Kelly J. Ogle is the CEO of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, a Calgary and Ottawa based foreign policy think tank. He is a senior executive and scholar with more than 35 years of entrepreneurial experience covering several business sectors, including oil and gas, agriculture, trucking, residential development, and golf course construction and operations.

Commissioner Ogle has served as a board member and chair for various corporations (public, private and not-for-profit) and has experience in all committee types, including health and safety, audit, compensation and corporate governance. He is also a Senior Advisor to the Brilliant Energy Institute at Ontario Tech University.

Commissioner Ogle is the past board chair of Silvera for Seniors, a not-for-profit organization that provides a home and care to over 1,600 low-income senior Calgarians. He is the former board chair of Student Energy, a global non-profit organization creating a movement of young leaders committed to transitioning the world to a sustainable energy future. He is also a proud alumnus of the Humboldt Broncos and is the alumni representative on the board of directors for the hockey club.

Commissioner Ogle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Strategic Studies from the University of Calgary’s Centre for Military and Strategic Studies, and in the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Commissioner Ogle has been a member of the Commission since April 2023.
