Commissioner Jeffrey French was appointed to the Commission in November 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience in the retail and service sectors. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Rehabilitation Services at CBI Health.

He has previously held leadership roles at several customer-focused organizations, including Parkland and Canadian Tire, where he demonstrated his skill in strategic planning, governance, capital allocation, managing distributed networks, leading teams through complex change, driving accountability and performance, and shaping positive workplace cultures.

Volunteer work has always been a passion for Commissioner French, investing time and energy in the communities in which he lives. Most notably, he served as a Director on the Board of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for seven years, holding the position of Board Chair during his final two years. He also enjoys coaching basketball in his spare time.

Commissioner French holds a Master of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. He also spent time as a marketing instructor at Laurentian University.
