Calgary Police Commission
Commissioner Jeffrey French was appointed to the Calgary Police Commission in 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience in the retail and service sectors. He has held leadership roles at several customer-focused organizations, including Parkland and Canadian Tire.
With expertise in strategic planning, governance and capital allocation, Commissioner French is delivering meaningful improvements for the retail operations, real estate, and network planning functions in his current role as the leader of Parkland Corporation’s Network Development and Retail Programs Team.
Volunteer work has always been a passion for Commissioner French, investing time and energy in the communities in which he lives. Most notably, he served as a Director on the Board of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for seven years, holding the position of Board Chair during his final two years. He also enjoys coaching basketball in his spare time.
Commissioner French holds a Master of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. He also spent time as a marketing instructor at Laurentian University.
